Hey Beauties!!!

Its been a few days since I've been blogging. Sorry about that...just got caught up with my trip to New YORK. I ended up packing at the last minute...OMG it was crazy. Never again lol. Well I managed to arrive here in sweet Queens, New York in one piece but sooo much has been going on. First day here there was a car explosion on my street...smh it was crazy. I have noooo idea what started the fire but I do know that the car is GONE. The most important aspect though is that no one was hurt. So I'm glad for that. I of course had to either make an appearance or call  to basically let my family know I was here. So for the past thursday and friday, I've been visiting relatives and friends updating them on cali life and the fam!  GOt my hair done yesterday (wash and flat iron)...and then it rained today, POOF goes the hair lol. It wasn't tooo bad, I was able to save it...still looks good so i'll be alright. I didn't realize how cold it was going to be...the weather forecast said one thing and the weather actually did another lol. But, I'll manage...I mean I have to right?

I think I'll be getting into crazier adventures tomorrow. I love New York!!!!

As you could see there was noooo sun today lol and taking these pictures was not the business lol. I was freezing without my jacket, but I wanted you all to see the full effect of the outfit. I found this sweater at kohl's awhile back (and I mean awhile) and it matches perfectly with the colors on this black floral dress that I bought from Ross. I just love the teal color....gorgeous. My purse as you may know from my post that 70s chick  I bought at a thrift store...I have been using this allllll week lol.  The tights are actually gifted, but they were bought awhile back from JCpenny. My boots from Torrid (which are on sale now!).

Hey Beauties!!!

Wonderful Tuesday we're having!! All day I've been running around  preparing for my trip tomorrow. And you know what? I still haven't finished packing AHHH! (Heads up I don't know if I will be able to keep up with my blog while there, so if not I promise lots of pics when I come back). I got this though, I'm not worried lol ....just need to pick some outfits to wear. I'm checking weather forecast and basically I'll be freezing my lil behind off ^_^  so I need to pack warm.

Today I wore a 3/4 sheer blouse with a cami underneath both from G-stage. Skinny jeans and belt from torrid. Lastly, necklace and leopard flats from F21 (love these). Very casual  and comfortable today.

Hey Beauties!!!!

Happy Monday everyone!! Hope ya'll had a great weekend! My weekend was great. My lovely friends took me out to get a massage at Massage Envy Spa.  Had a 1 hour full body massage and omy.....FABULOUS. I was relaxed after that...people were speaking to me and I was in La La land. LOL. Luv my friends. Ladies, always remember to stop and take care of yourself once in awhile.

OUTFIT OF THE DAY:

I've been checking the weather forecast lately for California and let me tell you. California weather has never been sooo MOODY. LOL Yesterday, it rained and today its suppose to rain again. I'm guessing its because we're so close to April. I wore this outfit during the day before it rained (thank you Jesus!). I found this dress thrifting a few weeks ago. I've been looking for a shirt-dress for a few months now...because of my height it was hard to find one that didn't look like pajamas LOL. Finally, when I took my friend thrifting  for the first time instead of her shopping I ended up getting a few things ^_^  and voila, a shirt-dress. I bought my white Steve Madden purse a year or two ago from Ross, a great buy. Wedges are from Tilly's, bought online. They are comfortable and stylish. They are the first of many wedges bought LOL and I love them!!!

Hey Beauties!!!

Just want to inform everyone that I will be taking a trip this week to New York. No specifics yet, but I hope I'm able to upload pictures until then. Today was laid back. I was helping out a friend by babysitting cause she was sick. Ended up going to the hospital to see her doctor. But she's doing better now. Thank God. So I didn't really go out much today, but tomorrow my lovely friends are treating me to a spa day!!! Guarantee  pictures then!!! Hope everyone's weekend is going well.

OUTFIT OF THE DAY: I actually wore this outfit a few weeks ago and never posted it. So here you guyz go!! I wore this outfit to church. It was very comfy and chic. The shirt I bought from papaya a few years ago and have been loving it since. The shirt and sunglasses from G-stage. Purse I found at a thrift store...love the style of it! And the shoes are from Macy's.

Hey Beauties!!!

I'm going to be real quick today. Yesterday, I stayed up all night because I couldn't sleep. I decided to do a little spring cleaning (yes during the middle of the night) and got rid of some clothes, shoes and purses. I don't exactly understand what got into me lol and what made it worse was I had a killer headache too SMH. But don't worry now, I'm all better just a little tired. I ended up finishing everything I needed to do as far cleaning out my closet and finally fell asleep around 6:00am. Crazy right? Does anyone else experience that? hmmm....

Well, I decided to treat my self to a day of thrift shopping YAY!!. I ended up spending a whopping $7.27 today :-)! I bought 2 new goodies:

Since spring is in the air, this gorgeous floral dress will definitely depict the season. And this purse is my new fav!! Stay tuned for outfits.

OUTFIT OF THE DAY: I wore a simple casual outfit today, perfect to do a little shopping. A white tank top and bell bottoms jeans, striped wedges and  a beautiful blue floral scarf which I received for Christmas from a good friend. I love the patter, texture and the shades of blue. Just lovely....

Hello Beauties!!

I love today's encouraging thought. It's the truth isn't it. Sometimes I focus so much on my problems I forget how big my God is. I love that feeling, when you don't need to worry. It's wonderful!! 
So ladies, today was a beautiful day! Sunny and bright with a cool breeze. Love Cali weather when it's like this. Guess since spring is in, the weather decided to cooperate today lol. I apologize ladies for not posting for the past few days I was celebrating my birthday (which is the first day of spring!!!). I was taken out for breakfast lunch and dinner!! Love my friends. But of course I'm not done, I still have a spa weekend coming up and Laser Tag. Some recent changes has been made as far as the murder mystery dinner. We aren't doing that anymore. Getting time off to attend was becoming and issue so I've decided to throw a Haitian BBQ at my mother's house. EXCITING!!! lol. I'm sure all will go well and I'll have a blast with my friends and family. I'll definitely post pictures!!!

Today's outfit  was ideal for a situation where I wanted to be a mix of both casual and dressy at the same time. The Dolman striped top and jeggings are comfortable basics, while the tan slouchy heeled  boots, handbag and chain necklace add flair. In the end, the various colors all come together to create a cohesive look: it's nautical as seen through the eyes of an eclectic fashionista!

Well  today, Monday the last official day of winter but it doesn't feel like it at all. Today, despite being in Sunny California, was very cold and windy. Not so much that I needed a jacket but to the point where I couldn't bring out skirts, dresses and shorts lol. I've said it before and I'll say it again, California is weird! Anyway, I want to write about today's encouraging thought. I thought it was a great quote for today, especially for me. I'm turning a new leaf with the change of the season. I want to change how I perceive not just the world and other's around me, but also my self. You know how it is, think positive to be positive, cliche as it may sound can't help the fact that it's true. With that in mind, I completed a lot of tasks today that I've been putting off (procrastination sucks I know lol). I finally finished my taxes, registered for school and I'm in the process of meeting with my guidance counselor. So things are moving fairly quickly.


I'm also planning for my BDAY!!! YAY lol. Planing to go laser tagging with my friends and have a HUGE Haitian BBQ at my house! (pictures will follow). Went out today to the mall with one of my besties. I bought some new MAC moisturizer for my face, ran out last week SMH. I also searched LoveD and Reflections for new shoe styles. I'm making a wishlist, I want some lace up ankle booties!!!! lol So stay tuned. 
Now I promised that I would upload pictures from the other night at Misty Lounge.

It was Fun!!! Went with one of my close friends. Its something we actually try to do every Sunday, just to go out and have fun. I love the skirt I was looking for a yellow skirt for 2 months now, and I found it on sale at Charlotte Russe for $5.00 :-)

Today was a simple casual outfit. I wanted to wear florals today. I bought this shirt awhile back from kohls. They had it in several different colors. I even bought one for my friend for her birthday  because she loved the style of the shirt. I wore a green laced cami underneath. What's funny, when I went to the mall today the clerk at the Mac counter asked me where I bought my cami cause she had been looking for one for the longest but I bought it years ago, I couldn't really tell her. LOL I added my China town purse :-) and skinny jeans from G-stage. To add a lil "sexiness" I wore Torrid suede boots. Luv These!!!
